Fisher Investments is continuing its strong growth in Europe and is expanding the trading team to Ireland. We are looking for accomplished and motivated candidates with an analytical or operational background to join our team.

The Opportunity:

As a trader at Fisher Investments Ireland, you will be part of Fisher's global trading desk. Your primary responsibilities will be trade execution in retail and institutional client accounts, and you will contribute to multiple team growth initiatives. You will monitor how the markets, sectors, and securities you are trading each day are moving and combine that information with your knowledge of trading strategy to achieve best execution in client accounts. You will have opportunities to implement process improvements that help grow the team. Our trading team is expanding to accommodate increased and more complex order volume, and our traders are playing an important role in helping shape the future of the group to handle this growth. You will report directly to the trading manager in Luxembourg.

The Day-to-Day:

• Execute trades in all asset classes across global markets, tailoring execution strategy to market conditions and trade objectives
• Establish and maintain relationships with custodian and broker counterparties
• Contribute to initiatives that support the trading desk's expansion to accommodate increasing order volume
• Work across groups including Portfolio Operations, Trade Operations and Compliance
• Gain advanced finance and capital markets education through our mentoring program

Your Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience in trading, back-office investment operations, or a similar role. Previous trading experience is not required
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• A sound knowledge of financial concepts, markets, and current events
• Native or fluent English language skills; Proficiency in other European languages is beneficial
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• A startup mentality; a drive for continuous improvement and a will-do attitude
• High level of autonomy and attention to detail; Produce high-quality work within a time frame
• Experience in working with European private clients or custodians is highly beneficial
• Experience in Charles River or Bloomberg EMSX is highly beneficial
